Each year we hold a Children’s Sporting Lunch which is attended by over 600 disabled children and their helpers from special schools throughout Essex and East Herts.

The children have a traditional Christmas lunch, have the opportunity to meet a host of celebrities, followed by a cabaret, disco and of course a visit from Father Christmas.

The highlight of the Lunch is an award ceremony for some of the children who have made significant achievements in sport. This is to recognise endeavour rather than elitism and can vary from swimming two or three strokes to taking part in an outward bound type course.
