The President's Sporting Club/ Essex Disabled Sports Foundation (Registered Charity Number 1001176) has now raised well over £1.5 million which has been donated to local schools and organisations to provide sporting facilities and opportunities for disabled children in the  area. Taking part in sport increases the children’s self confidence, physical development and self esteem and helps them to meet challenges that they may face later in life.

A valuable fund raising event for the President's Sporting Club is the London Marathon.

We are delighted that at this time we plan to have 47 runners in the 2010 Virgin London Marathon which is being held on Sunday 25th April 2010.

Eamonn Martin, who is a previous winner of the London Marathon (and Commonwealth games Gold Medallist) gave a presentation to a number of our runners on 31st January 2010. Another presentation by Eamonn to our runners is planned for 28th March 2010.
